“The wealthiest place in the world is not the gold mines of South America or the oil fields of Iraq or Iran. They are not the diamond mines of South Africa or the banks of the world. The wealthiest place on the planet is just down the road.
It is the cemetery. There lie buried companies that were never started, inventions that were never made, bestselling books that were never written, and masterpieces that were never painted. In the cemetery is buried the greatest treasure of untapped potential.”
(Dr. Myles Munroe: 1954 – 2014)
Daniel Obi – Executive Director of WHCDO on a courtesy visit to Ivory Coast Envoy to Canada in Ottawa in 20..
One of the fundamental premises of WHCDO vision is that all people especially the poor, underprivileged, uneducated, unemployed/underemployed and disadvantaged are untapped and unmined human resources with incredible potentials/inherent abilities. These human resources are analogous to seemly unproductive in some cases barren portion of land with huge diamond deposit buried far deep beneath the surface.
The difference between the poor people/unemployable youths and successful people as well as those with sought-after skills is analogous to the difference between raw gold and refined pure gold. They are essentially intrinsically the same materials excerpt the refining process that brought such remarkable difference in value.
Therefore, the ‘WHCDO Transformation Process’, is the process of refining the human resources (focus on the weak, poor, unemployed, and disadvantaged youths) into human capitals for four principal purposes
- Wealth/Job Creation: Create wealth and jobs within their communities or sphere of influence.
- Poverty Eradication: Fight for eradication/reduction of poverty within their communities or sphere of influence
- Environmental Responsibility: Plant at least two trees or more (Afforestation) in their Communities/Cities.
Human Capital Champions (Agents of Change): Drive the human capital development in their various Communities or spheres of influence by targeting at least 12 people like him/her by 2050.
